Candie & Michael's Engagement Session

Candie and Michael were troopers! The evening turned out to be a bit more chilly than expected but the love they share kept us all warm!

I love this one:

Town of Millet

What can you find in the little old town of Millet?

An energetic family with an independant baby named Emma! This family was a lot of fun to work with. Emma is a happy-go-lucky baby who enjoys nature, playing with rocks and doesn't mind getting down and dirty! This was our second shoot of the weekend.

Family of Three

Last weekend, my friend Jasmine and I went out to do two photoshoots. It was the first weekend we actually had great summer weather in Edmonton!

The first shoot was at the Royal Alberta Museum. Baby Hussein - only 8-months old, had the snuffles, but we still got some great shots of him. Mom, Fatima was a natural, and very photogenic! We finally figured out how to make Mohammed smile...the anwser is in the last photo!

Here are some pics from our "Family of Three."

I love this image - it reminds me of those old 1950's photos you see with father and son.

Finally....

Finally...started a blog!

It's amazing how fast time passes by and year after year I've thought to myself, "Maybe I'll create a blog..."

Well, I've finally created it so let's start posting!

I've always had an affinity for photography. Interestingly enough, when I was young, I used to shy away from the camera, in my university years - I was always in front of the camera and now, I've shifted gears and am behind the camera, looking at the world through a viewfinder.

It's amazing how one's vision and outlook changes as you mature and experience more of the world first hand.

There is beauty in everything.

I once had a photographer friend say to me, "A Mont Blanc pen is a beautiful instrument. It has great value and is of great quality. However, a writer does not become a great writer because of the pen he uses, for at the end of the day, the pen is just a pen."

Similarly, it does not matter what camera you use or how expensive your equipment is, for the photograph is a reflection of the photographer himself, not the instrument he uses.

This blog will feature a compilation of photographs I have taken. I hope you will see the beauty and true emotion in each photograph as I have.

Enjoy!
